4D's Dance Centre - Rock 'n' Roll

This form of dance started with the introduction of Rock 'n' Roll music in the 1940's. It is a quick-paced form of movement that involves lifts, spins and fast footwork. You may have seen examples of Rock 'n' Roll dancing on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and in the film 'Grease'.

This dance requires a partner – you can bring your own, or we can partner you up with someone at your class.

You can take part in classes just for fun, take exams to assess your progress, or even move on to competition level.

What to wear and bring:

Wear clothes you can move easily in (not jeans or skirts) and shoes that have a flexible sole – like trainers, plimsolls, or jazz shoes if you have them. Don't forget to bring a bottle of water – dancing is thirsty work!

Dancing ability:

We have classes suitable for absolute beginners up to championship level.
